Description The infrared light module LM-IR-16-4 is an extension module for the following modules:

• Sound travel controller SFR-1
• Sound module USM-RC-2
• UFR-1230 speed controller

The light module can be used to control lights, servos and motors on a (truck) trailer and semitrailer. The signals are transmitted wirelessly via infrared.

Light control The LM-IR-16-4 provides 16 switching outputs for the connection of lighting (e.g. lamps and LEDs). The light signals are transmitted 1:1 from the main module to the light module. For 4 switching outputs special functions like an all-round light, a running light or different flash effects can be selected.

Motor control The motor output on the light module can be used for direct control of e.g. prop motors, ramps or tilting functions. A switch for manual control of the motor output can also be optionally connected to the module.

Servo control There are also 4 servo outputs on the light module, which can be used to control various movements. Applications for this include trailer supports, locking and unlocking a fifth wheel, steerable axles or tipping movements. In order to control further motors, speed controllers can also be connected to the servo outputs.

Road-Train Another IR transmitter diode can be connected to the light module, which then transmits the received IR signal 1:1 to another light module.

Using a function on the main module ("LM: Activate Road-Train ID X"), the servo outputs and the motor output can be controlled specifically for individual light modules. This way, a road train with several trailers can be easily realized and controlled together as well as separately.

Additional settings with the LM-Teacher The light module is ready for operation with the standard settings when delivered. With the LM-Teacher software, some settings can be adjusted and additional options can be selected. Furthermore, there is the possibility to execute a diagnostic function to check the function of the light module. For this purpose, the light module is connected to a Windows PC using the K-USB-2 data cable.

To be able to control the LM-IR-16-4 via the SFR-1, the USM-RC-2 or the UFR-1230, the light module must be activated in the settings of the main module. This requires at least version V1.30 of the SFR-1 Sound-Teacher, version V1.80 of the USM-RC-2 Sound-Teacher and version V1.30 of the UFR Drive-Teacher.
