BEIER-Electronic K-USB-2 Data cable K-USB-2 for USM-RC-2

With the K-USB-2 data cable, the USM-RC-2 sound module can be connected to a PC via a USB interface.
The data cable has 2 functions:
1. live diagnosis With the help of the data cable, the Sound-Teacher can receive and display live the current diagnostic data (e.g. position of the proportional channels, status of the inputs and outputs, Nautic values, etc.). This is often very helpful during troubleshooting.
However, the USM-RC-2 can also store the diagnostic data on the SD card. This recorded data can be viewed (without data cable) via the diagnostic function of the Sound-Teacher. However, the disadvantage here is that you can only see the "past" and not what is currently happening (live).
2. transfer the configuration and the sounds (new since Sound-Teacher V1.30!) from the Sound-Teacher to the USM-RC-2. If you want to change a setting in the configuration or a sound, you normally have to remove the SD card from the module, insert it into the card reader of the PC, save the project data with the Sound-Teacher on the SD card and insert the card back into the sound module.
If you want to change the settings frequently, e.g. because you are starting up a new model and want to try out different things, the frequent back and forth insertion of the SD card soon becomes annoying. With the help of the data cable, sounds and the configuration can now be transferred to the sound module without always having to move the SD card.
However, the transfer of sounds is relatively slow with the data cable! A sound with a length of 10 seconds, needs about 40 seconds until it is transferred with the data cable. Therefore, the transfer of long sounds, or large, new projects, with the data cable is only conditionally advisable.
The data cable is not absolutely necessary for the startup of the sound module, but often very helpful if you work a lot with the sound module and test.
With Windows 7 and Windows 8 it can happen in exceptional cases that the data cable does not work correctly. This is due to the fact that Windows prefers to use its own (non-functioning) driver instead of the (functioning) driver on the DVD-ROM of the USM-RC-2.
