The Volvo FH16 is one of the most popular trucks among motorists. Now this highlight is also available as a TAMIYA model and this in a wooden transporter version. The model is delivered as a kit and already includes numerous accessory parts such as photo-etched parts for the radiator grille, turnbuckles with chains for securing the load and much more. The over 70 cm long model is driven by the two rear axles. Sufficient power is provided by the powerful TAMIYA TR Mighty Tuned Truck engine (35T) and good traction is provided by the chunky tires. For the drive, lighting and sound, the TAMIYA MFC-03 multifunction unit (300056523) is included in this set. Due to the enormous length of the model, only the standard MFC LEDs have to be replaced by the special ones with longer cable (56549 to 56551) (also included in this set). The FH16 is the first TAMIYA truck model where the driver's cab is firmly bolted. This allows the MFC to be installed behind the seats and the interior is fully visible.

The TAMIYA multifunction unit MFC-03 Euro-Style simulates in truck models almost all sound and light functions of the big prototypes. It perfectly complements TAMIYA models such as the MAN TGX, Mercedes Benz Actros, Scania R470 and others with the sound recorded on a European inline six-cylinder diesel engine.

The function and control unit, a speed controller is also included, has 33 realistic sound, numerous light and up to 21 function options for 1/14 scale model tractors and others. All functions are operated by standard 4-channel remote control.

The MFC-03 Euro-style multifunction unit can be used in three modes. Driving mode with and without light and sound as well as a demo mode showing sound and light functions.
