Savage MAX 3D Aerobatic Park Flyer 1080mm - Red

SAVAGE MAX is a high performance 3D aerobatic park flyer made of EPP foam and powered by a 350-500W brushless electric motor. A few hours with a superglue in hand is all it takes to complete this model. One can then enjoy F3A standard category figures as well as 3D acrobatics! The model is also suitable for less experienced pilots. With smaller deflections, it can be flown by anyone who has at least some aerobatic experience and is able to reliably fly loops, turns and rolls. Thanks to the light weight of the model, there is not too much damage in case of an accident - and EPP parts are so easy to repair!

The one-piece wing with large ailerons has a symmetrical profile. Carbon fiber spars provide strength, and of course there are ready-made servo wells. The fuselage is profiled with a horizontal part thoroughly reinforced with carbon fiber strips. The vertical part with a large lateral area ensures perfect blade flight characteristics. The machined construction includes a plywood motor mount attached to the fuselage with carbon fiber strips. The servo wells for elevator and rudder are located in the fuselage. The tail surfaces are also made of EPP, and the halves of the large floating elevator are mounted to a tubular carbon fiber spar that rotates in a 3D printed bearing in the fuselage. The ailerons, rudder and elevator are controlled by short direct carbon fiber or steel linkages. The main landing gear is carbon fiber with two lightweight wheels and EPP covers. It is mounted with four screws to a fiberglass support plate that is attached to the fuselage with 3D printed plastic brackets. The tail with a 3D printed bracket and a lightweight foam wheel is connected to the rudder.

To control the model you need at least a 4-channel RC set, which allows you to set dual rate and exponential deflections.

For undemanding recreational relaxation, conventional analog micro-servos with metal gears such as KAVAN GO-13MG, Hitec HS-65MG and the like are suitable. For aerobatics you should use strong and fast digital servos with metal gears like KAVAN GO-1013MG, Hitec HS-5065MG and similar.

For propulsion we recommend brushless electric motor KAVAN PRO 3536-1000, FOXY 3536-1000, Model Motors AXI 2814/16 V2 or similar with APC propeller 11x4,7SF when powered by 3S LiPo battery or 10x4,7SF when using 4S LiPo.

The speed controller should have a minimum load capacity of 40 A, especially if you use strong and fast digital servos, it should have a powerful BEC, such as KAVAN PRO-40SB or KAVAN R-50SB.

For power supply is suitable 3- or 4-cell LiPo battery 1300-1800 mAh with a minimum load capacity of 40C.
