The Velineon® VXL-3m electronic forward/reverse speed controller simplifies brushless technology with simple, integrated profiles and intuitive programming. The VXL-3m™ uses an advanced circuit design that allows sensorless brushless motors to operate with the smoothness and precision of the best brush systems. It sets up, operates and programs the same way as the Traxxas XL-5™ family of ESCs, so there are no complicated new procedures to learn. Traxxas' exclusive, patented Training Mode™ is also included to limit full throttle to 50% for young or inexperienced drivers. For the more advanced user, the VXL-3m is equipped with two-stage low voltage detection to allow the use of LiPo batteries, including powerful 11.1-volt 3S packs!

Velineon VXL-3m Features

• Traxxas patented high-current connector provides a pure, unobstructed flow of current from the battery to the brushless drive system.
• Integrated two-stage low voltage detection for lithium polymer (LiPo) batteries clearly signals the driver that the battery is nearing its minimum voltage.
• Wide range of battery options, including 6-12 cell NiMH or NiCad batteries.
• Patented Training Mode™ is a Traxxas exclusive feature that reduces the overall power of the VXL-3m by 50%, making it easier for new or younger drivers to control their model. When they're ready, simply change the profiles to unleash full-throttle action.
• Thanks to the advanced circuit design, the sensorless brushless motors operate with the same smoothness and precision as the best brush systems. There is no need for additional sensor wiring or complex hardware.
• The EZ-Set® push-button setup operates and programs just like other Traxxas speed controllers, such as the XL-5, eliminating the need to learn a new set of procedures.

The VXL-3m is programmable with three driving profiles:

• Sport mode - forward/brake/speed.
• Race Mode - Forward / Brake
• Training Mode™* - 50% Forward / Brake / 50% RPM.

• Two-stage thermal shutdown protection protects the VXL-3m from overheating.
• Locked Rotor Protection™ prevents system damage by cutting power when the vehicle is stuck or the motor is stalled.
• Battery Over-Voltage Protection™ ensures the controller enters failsafe mode if the maximum input voltage is exceeded.
• Waterproof enclosure design with rubber seals and O-rings to protect against damage from water and moisture.
• Aluminum heat sink with micro fins dissipates heat.
• MOSFET design provides high output currents (326 amps peak) with incredibly low resistance (0005 ohms).
