For functional models, one thing is important - a lot of things! Full control and that with a realistic operating scenario via factory self-centering 4D joysticks which were CNC-milled from high-quality aluminum, own self-centering encoders for crawler tracks (ergonomic and of course also made of aluminum), 2- and 3-position toggle switches in industrial quality, pressure switches (e.g. for hydraulic pump or light) and 3 encoders (in addition to the encoders on the 4D joysticks). But these are only the physical controls!

The PL18 EV is at its best when the capacitive touch display comes into play. You bring the encoders to life via the simply designed and gesture-customizable user interface, where you even control the content of the main screen. The channels can be assigned to the encoders just as freely as the 8 trim sliders, the encoders, buttons. And in order to always have a clear overview, the channel even gets the designation you have chosen, no cryptic "CH3" but "spoon" is displayed in the main screen, below the bar that shows which position the channel currently has - full control! Trim, sub-trim, channel offset, curve adjustment and linear mixer are mandatory on the PL18 EV. Chain vehicles can be configured via the track mixer, and logic links can be created via logic switches. Simple example: switch 1 on + switch 2 on = channel 3 on. In practice, this means, for example: Crane folded, hook hooked in? Upper carriage no longer rotatable! Supports on top? Nobody cranks here for as long as!

To have only one model is no condition for us model building maniacs! And who has an excavator and a dump truck would like to load first into the dump and then drive the truck away, dump and then load again. With the PL18 EV you can do that easily, via the model combination. Live via 2-position switch to change the model, by programmed failsafe (in the transmitter, mind you, via touch display, completely without bent paper clip) the passive model goes into standby, and the truck is controllable with the assigned encoder configuration. Back to the excavator, you control it again with the usual Euro configuration. 20 models can be stored with their own configuration. You will see your model collection with new eyes!

With the 2 included receivers (1x 12-channel, 1x 8-channel) you get started with two options - either control 2 models remotely or one model with up to 18 channels - to do this, the receivers are coupled and make an 18-channel receiver. The large receiver serves the small one via i-bus as a PWM converter, i.e. channel extension. The new bidirectional AFHDS3 radio system in 2.4GHz is used. Bidirectional means: data transmission in both directions, simultaneously via a single antenna and connection integrated. Receiver voltage, range detection included, external sensor data possible - full control!

Aprospros - full control on the model building site also means having the remote control under control, precise control, even over longer periods of time. This is where the included CNC-machined transmitter console with official cross harness comes into play. With the ergonomic hand rests, it allows you to precisely and carefully control the sticks and encoders. Dig like a heart surgeon from now on! And so that you always have full power you can charge the built-in battery of the PL18 EV inductively. Simply place it on the 5V10W wireless charging station of the Flagship Edition, where you can also charge your smartphone.

For function models, one thing is not important - everything else! That's why everything a functional modeler doesn't need has been left out of the PL18 EV. No flight mixers, no pinouts set in stone. This layout is only for trucks, construction equipment, tanks and working vessels such as thrusters, floating cranes, dredgers, barrel layers!
