Spektrum™ S155 G2 1x55W AC Smart Charger The Spektrum™ S155 charger makes advanced, easy-to-use smart charging technology affordable for every RC hobbyist. It is the perfect choice for budget-conscious beginners who will be delighted by the safe and simple operation of smart charging technology. The 55-watt S155 charger is compatible with 4S LiPo, LiFe, Li-Ion or LiHV batteries as well as 1-12S NiMH and NiCd packs and can be used with all common RC battery types (although only Smart batteries offer all the benefits of the charger's innovative features). It has IC3® and IC5® battery connectors, so no separate adapters are required to charge most Smart batteries. The 2nd generation Smart technology allows the S155 to charge and balance Smart G2 batteries via a single connector. No separate balance cable is required. When connected to a Smart battery, its Auto Charge function immediately recognizes the correct charging parameters and automatically begins a safe and proper charging process.

To provide the most hassle-free charging experience possible, the Spektrum™ S155 Smart AC Charger features a color LCD screen with enhanced menus, icons and navigation features. The intuitive user interface allows users to monitor charging progress and easily make changes to parameters. An on-screen clock counts down the minutes in real time until your smart battery is fully charged and ready for use. When it's time to update the charger's firmware, that's easy too. A USB port is conveniently located on the front of the housing. No special cables are required. Other handy features of the Spektrum™ S155 Smart AC Charger include a sleep mode and a detachable power cord. Spektrum™ 5000mAh 4S 14.8V Smart G2 Lipo 50C: IC5 Riders reap the smart benefits of using Spektrum™ Smart G2 50C LiPo batteries. New "Generation 2" features make these LiPo packs - with a constant load capacity of 50C - even easier and safer to use in conjunction with your Smart charger.

Spektrum™ Smart G2 technology, for example, makes it much easier to charge your LiPo batteries. Information is exchanged via a single cable in the innovative IC3® or IC5® connector of each Smart G2 battery. This means that only a single plug connection is required and the balancer cable is no longer necessary.

Smart G2 batteries are factory programmed to automatically discharge to a safe storage voltage of 3.90V after 72 hours of inactivity. The benefits are longer battery life, better performance over the life of the pack and peace of mind because your Smart battery is maintenance free. You can change the settings for the automatic discharge of the battery at any time according to your own requirements. G2 batteries also offer a discharge rate to stock voltage that is three times faster than previous G1 Smart batteries.

As with other Smart batteries, you only need to change the charge setting if you really want to. When a Smart G2 LiPo battery is connected to a Spektrum™ Smart charger, its specific charging parameters and health status are transferred from the battery's integrated memory microchip to the charger. You can read and define settings such as charging rates on the charger. All you have to do to charge the battery is connect it to the Smart charger and the Smart technology does the rest.
