Leopard 2A6 "Full Option

The TAMIYA model is a fully functional 1:16 scale replica of the Leopard 2A6 as used in the German Army. The model performs all driving movements such as forward, reverse and turning on the spot. In order to realize the stepless steering of the original tank, a completely new transmission was developed, which uses a 540 engine for propulsion and one for steering. In addition, a new single link chain with separate chain pads was developed. The digital sound module produces all driving and engine sounds, the sounds of the gun and turret drive as well as the firing sound of the cannon (switchable to the sound of the machine gun). The turret echoes the turning movements. The cannon automatically lifts over the rear of the tank when turning (rear deflector function). When the cannon is operated, a flash of light is generated in the muzzle of the barrel, the barrel retracts, by briefly controlling the speed controller, the model "twitches" and the gun runs for a few seconds in loading position.

To facilitate battery replacement, this is housed in the turret and thus very accessible. Last but not least, the entire vehicle lighting has been faithfully reproduced. Due to the completely new development of all components, this model creates a previously unheard of level of realism. New standards are set for the field of functional model building.

The LEOPARD 2A6 main battle tank, a top product of the German defense technology industry, has been introduced in eleven countries as the Army's main weapon system. It is therefore also referred to as the EURO LEOPARD.
