Michael Wittlman (April 22, 1914 - August 8, 1944) was a German tank commander in World War 2. He was credited with destroying 138 tanks and 132 anti-tank guns, as well as an unknown number of other armored vehicles, making him one of the German tank races with the most kills. Wittmann was famous for the surprise attack he carried out against parts of the 7th British Panzer Division on June 13, 1944, during the Battle of Villers-Bocage. With 5 other Tiger Is, he destroyed 12 tanks, 10 halftracks, 2 personnel carriers, and 2 antitank guns in 15 minutes, with Wittmann credited with the most kills.
