The new MR-04EVO2 chassis retains elements of the superb MR-03 layout, but achieves significant performance gains through changes to the front suspension and a lower center of gravity, working in synergy with a sensor-controlled brushless motor. Both narrow and wide tread settings are possible by swapping the lower and upper plates at the front as well as the track bar. The adjustable wheelbase allows the suspension to be set according to the body type.
While the camber angle when cornering is optimized by the sweep of the current upper arm design, the front suspension uses the new steering knuckle integrated into the steering knuckle to further improve camber stability. The geometric revision of caster and caster etc. ensures more linear maneuverability. New springs for the MR-04 with different degrees of hardness are available as an option.
The front steering knuckle design features an integrated kingpin with optimized clearance to the kingpin for smoother operation. The ball bearings now have an inner diameter of 3 mm for reduced rotational resistance.
All 7 ball bearings have an inner diameter of 3 mm for lower rotational resistance to minimize friction loss.
New potentiometer delivers precision and durability with a completely redesigned steering program to realize the best response and accuracy in MINI-Z history. The more precise steering control program allows various settings with the MR-04 exclusive I.C.S. software.
The standard ball differential optimizes the rotational differences between the left and right rear wheels when turning. It also provides moderate slip to improve traction under excessive load. The silver anodizing of the aluminum parts provides an impressive style to match the performance.
The new unit also supports high-speed communication with various high-end transmitters and receivers to achieve unprecedented control behavior. Achieves transmission speeds of 0.99ms with KO devices (ADV mode) and 0.9ms with Futaba devices (EVO2 mode). *Previously 2.6ms ~ 3.0ms
