The Traxxas TRX-4 Scale and Trail Crawler sets the standard for versatility with its radical design and rugged durability. The new TRX-4 chassis kit combines the same innovative features as the RTR vehicle with the fun and excitement of building your own kit. Build your own portal axles, high / low range transmissions and remote locking differentials. All parts are neatly housed in labeled bags with waterproof electronics and pre-assembled shocks and suspension links. A fully illustrated color manual makes the kit as much fun to build as it is to drive off-road.

Easy to follow assembly instructions The TRX-4 Chassis Kit isn't just for hobby experts. Traxxas goes one step further to make the full-color instruction book easy to follow and fun to drive. Each section corresponds to a labeled bag with step-by-step assembly instructions. Scaled part illustrations and ruler graphics make it easy to distinguish between different screws, bearings, and gears. Helpful assembly tips and clear illustrations ease the assembly process. The power of gantries Build your own groundbreaking TRX-4 portal axles with the TRX-4 Chassis Kit. These innovative axles raise the chassis at the wheels and provide tremendous ground clearance. To achieve the same clearance (and not get stuck) with straight axles, the tires would have to be over an inch taller than the TRX-4. The TRX-4 chassis effortlessly handles debris and takes the trail back.

Torque twist eliminated The total axle reduction with portals is twice the size of the non-portal design, virtually eliminating torque twist. Titan 550 engine torque is translated into straight, powerful forward motion.

Canyon Trail 1.9 Tires Canyon Trail 1.9 tires and tuned foam inserts are super soft and grippy to provide a compelling bite with convincing scale realism on rocky surfaces. A 12mm steel hex drives the wheels.

Pre-assembled aluminum GTS shocks. Pre-assembled coil-over GTS shocks offer silky smooth damping performance and feature threaded shock bodies, an O-ring cover seal and dual X-ring shaft seals. Simply add the included shock oil.

Scale Detail Rugged bumpers provide clearance and protection and are equipped with D-rings for recovery. The front bumper is designed to be compatible with many popular off-road accessories.

T-Lock Remote Locking Differentials Traxxas gives you the freedom and versatility to lock and unlock the two patented T-Lock front and rear differentials to suit your driving needs.

Hi / Low Range Transmission When the going gets tough, use your remote control to shift into a shorter ratio for incredible all-wheel drive traction torque. Shift into high gear to blast down the trail.

Metal Gear Digital Servo A new all-metal gear digital servo gives you the durability and steering ability you need to drive confidently and reliably in tough situations.

Extreme capability Steep front and rear angles of attack allow the TRX-4 Scale and Trail Crawler to tackle large obstacles head-on. Front engine design loads weight forward for excellent climbing ability.

Improved geometry Portal axles raise the knuckle bearings, center drive shaft, steering link and tie rod up and out of harm's way. Center ground clearance is increased while critical drive shaft and suspension angles are reduced.

3s Power System The new XL-5 HV electronic speed control system brings 3S LiPo capability and new profiles. A new trail profile makes driving easier for most of your adventures, while a new crawl profile offers hill-hold and instant reverse for extremely technical courses. Long run times of up to 2 hours are possible with a Traxxas 3s 5000mAh iD LiPo battery! (Battery not included)

Tough, pre-assembled suspension links Thick 5mm steel links feature tough, fully captured heavy-duty rod ends with hollow steel balls for exceptional strength and durability. This is a rig that won't put you on the trail with a broken suspension link.

Waterproof The TRX-4 Scale and Trail Crawler is completely waterproof. Only Traxxas' patented innovation gives you the freedom to take on creeks, snow, and mud without worrying about water in your electronics.

Inner Fenders Detailed inner fenders are integrated with the floor pans and shocks to keep rocks, mud and branches out of the chassis. The inner fenders also accommodate the installation of our optional LED Rock Light Kit (sold separately).

Cruise control Set your speed with the transmitter, then fine-tune it with the multi-function knob to match the speed of your caravan wagon. The TRX-4 is your companion for hours of fun and exploration.

Rigid steel frame A heavy-duty steel ladder frame with molded-on cross members creates an extremely rigid backbone. Elimination of chassis flex allows for precise wheel placement when navigating technical terrain.
