Have you ever painted a great race body and then messed up the assembly because it was off center, crooked, or too far forward or back on the chassis?

We have a tool for you! The PROTOform Crosshair Body Mounting Kit uses high-performance magnets to pinpoint the exact location of your vehicle's body posts. This simple, yet effective system is designed to ensure that your race body is mounted exactly as you intended.

Here's how it works: 1. place a Crosshair Body Post Cap on each of the 4 body posts of your chassis and secure with a body clamp. (Not included) 2. Place your painted body on the posts, center it from left to right, and determine the front and rear positions that may affect handling characteristics. (The standard position is centering the front wheel opening at the height of the front axle of the chassis). 3. Hold a marking magnet to the outside of your body near the body posts. The magnet will stick to the exact position. 4. mark the position of the body posts through the hole on the marking magnet with a fine felt tip pen. 5. drill the holes for the body posts at the marked positions using a body reamer or a drill.
