The T-72 is a Soviet main battle tank, built by the Uralvagonzavod company from 1972 and put into service by the Soviet Army. In addition to the Soviet Union, the tank was built in Poland, the CSSR and Yugoslavia, and under license in India from 1980. The T-72 is currently the most widely used main battle tank in the world. It has been exported in large numbers, including to many Middle Eastern countries such as Syria, Libya, Iran and Iraq. It has been used in many conflicts, including the 1982 Lebanon War, the First and Second Gulf Wars, and the Yugoslav Wars. A total of about 20,000 were produced, of which Russia still maintains about 9,200, with only about 1,200 active. The main weapon of the T-72 is the 125-mm D-81TM gun, which was adopted into the armament of the Soviet armed forces under the GRAU index 2A46. It is a smoothbore gun equipped with a sheet metal heat shield to prevent uneven heating due to weather conditions and has a smoke extractor. Stabilization of the gun system is provided by the 2E28M stabilization system. The gunner's optics are stabilized in the vertical axis, while the weapon system is stabilized in the horizontal axis. The elevation aiming range of the weapon is -6° to +14°.

The AMEWI Edition is a faithful replica in scale 1:16, delivered in a high quality black cardboard box with matching styrofoam core as version RTR - ready to run. The tank has a smoke and sound function as well as a lighting system for an even more convincing experience. The firing function is by push button, which can fire 6mm BB hard plastic bullets up to 15m. The cannon can be moved up and down, all control functions are proportional and can therefore be controlled sensitively. In addition, the model has an infrared combat module, which allows duels with other tanks from this Amewi edition. In the event of a direct hit by an opponent, the hit tank is visibly "shaken" once.

The model is powered by two powerful engines that transmit their power to the drive wheels via a multi-stage metal gearbox. The gearbox is also encapsulated (covered) on the inside. All running wheels on the chassis are connected to the chassis with metal rockers and damped. This true to original model with its olive green paint is in no way inferior to the real tank. The entire scope of supply corresponds to the latest technology (electronics TK 6.0). From now on we deliver all models with a contemporary Li-Ion battery with 1800mAh and 7,4V. A suitable 220V plug charger is also already included in the set.

The model has been tested for functionality before packing and a function protocol is included. Delivery takes place in a precisely fitting styrofoam core
