Chris Craft boats were very popular from the beginning because of their outstanding design and high speed. Not without reason, Chris Craft was the world's largest manufacturer of mahogany boats.
The Chris Craft Racer was built a total of 53 times between 1948 and 1954. Its comparatively straight and light design has the advantage that it is no problem for the less experienced modeler and is very quick to build. The original was also a relatively inexpensive boat, mostly equipped with a 158 hp MBL engine. It reached over 70 km/h with it, which outperformed all other production boats at the time.
The model is planked on a keel and frame construction with a practical plastic sheet layer. This speeds up construction considerably. Then high quality mahogany planks are applied for the sight planking. A very detailed German assembly manual facilitates this assembly. Also included in the kit are all propulsion parts, chrome fittings, steering wheel, seats and pulleys.
