Sailing boat Ariadne kit 1130mm

The Ariadne represents a classic sailing yacht of the earlier years of the 20th century. It was modeled on the numerous archipelago cruisers and classic wooden constructions of the time, built on a hull form designed for easy and efficient model sailing while maintaining classically elegant lines. An original design by Manfred Gröning, further developed into an excellent kit by Manfred Kaiser-Pletscher MKP Modellbau for modern manufacturing processes.

This kit is designed as a complete kit, therefore contains the complete rigging with mast, booms, sails and all material needed for rigging the mast. Likewise, the kit contains all hardware parts. Only an additional propulsion set with drive motor, shaft, propeller is optionally available - if desired. For operation, a sail winch and remote control are still needed.

A high-quality laminated GRP hull and laser-cut and engraved plywood parts form the basis for this noble kit, which is thus also comparatively simple and quick to build. Many hardware parts made of wood and etched brass make the model the optical classic.

The sails are pre-cut and included in the kit. The jib is designed as a pendulum jib. A genoa set is available as an accessory. Mast and booms are aluminum sections. The detailed building instructions make the construction of this elaborate model easy even for the advanced beginner.

The standard version with pendulum jib can be equipped with a winch. A retrofit kit for a genoa sail is available as an accessory. For the boomless genoa 2 additional winches are needed. The conversion to the genoa sail and the installation of the winches is also possible after completion of the model.

Not included are RC components, adhesives, paints and 3.5 kg ballast.
