T 34 / 76 m42 tank 1:72 model kit

The 65-ton M103 tank served the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) at the height of the Cold War from 1957 to 1974. Its entire design was based on the need to combat heavy Soviet tanks, and so it featured a rifled 120-mm M58 cannon for long-range engagements. This gun fired a single charge that required two loaders, so the crew consisted of five men. The armor was up to 180 mm thick at the front of the turret. About 300 T43E1 tanks were built, of which 219 were later converted to the M103A1 standard and 153 to the M103A2.

This new Cold War kit builds on the previous M103A1, but includes several newly fabricated parts, such as the engine deck, fender, trip interlock, searchlight, and storage compartment. The turret is also modified. The kit is very well constructed and the separation of the parts has been cleverly solved by the design team. Modelers can now build another such large heavy tank in small 1/72 scale.
