French tank R35 1:35 plastic model kit

Tamiya's French tank model kits are known for their unique theme and excellent historical accuracy. This kit recreates the R35. It was originally designed as a successor to the late WWI Renault FT and inherited its 37mm gun, paired with a cast turret and three-piece bolted cast hull. After its official adoption in 1935, about 1,500 were produced. They were one of the mainstays of the French attempt to resist the German attack in the fall of France in May / June 1940.

Features:

• The 37mm gun offers a height and (as with the actual R35) a traverse rate of 5 degrees to either side
• Assembly types allow for a straightforward representation of the upper sag. They feature one-piece straight sections
• With two marking options and a figure on the hatch at the rear of the turret
• A paint guide is included to help recreate the intricate French camouflage pattern
