The all-new Rustler 4X4 VXL is a hard-charging wheelie machine that takes the speed and classic style of the popular Rustler model and gives it brutal four-wheel-drive performance, longer durability and even more fun! Bury the throttle and the Rustler 4X4 VXL launches its front wheels skyward as it shreds the ground below. Underneath the sleek, clipless body, the heavy-duty drivetrain offers extremely strong brushless Velineon® power. The larger Talon EXT wheels and tires provide versatility and grip for any terrain, from backyard trails to concrete skate parks. Rustler 4X4 VXL shatters convention to become the new performance and fun standard for 4X4 stadium trucks!

All new chassis New low CG chassis positions weight low for aggressive handling. The wheelbase has been extended by 20 mm to achieve a perfect balance between stability and quick response. Brushless Velineon power flows through a larger Revo®-spec slipper clutch and new extreme heavy-duty driveshafts to ensure performance and strength.

Self-righting The Rustler 4X4 VXL uses Traxxas patented Self-Righting to keep the fun going, even when you get carried away with the wheelies. Just push a button on the TQi transmitter and in most cases, the Rustler 4X4 VXL is back up and ready for more action in seconds!

Clipless body mounting Similar to the flagship E-Revo, the Rustler 4X4 VXL utilizes a clipless body latch system for secure mounting and quick, one-handed removal and installation. The sleek, aerodynamic body features a tough internal structure and external rollover protection for long life and Traxxas-Tough durability.

Modular Chassis The Rustler 4X4's all-new modular chassis features front and rear bulkheads that can be easily removed with just a few screws. In less than a minute with a screwdriver, you have full access for easy maintenance and customization.

Velineon 3500 motor A sensorless 3500 kV motor from Velineon offers extreme performance with virtually maintenance-free operation. Ultra-high temperature neodymium magnets, high-speed bearings and a precision 4-pole balanced rotor ensure smooth running and long life.

VXL-3s ESC The waterproof Velineon VXL-3s speed control is equipped with technology to deliver maximum performance. Large heat sink, integrated on/off switch and three programmable drive profiles complete the feature list. Two-stage low voltage detection enables full LiPo compatibility, including powerful 11.1 volt 3S packs!

Waterproof receiver box The Rustler's innovative waterproof receiver box allows easy access to the receiver. The antenna and servo wires are routed through a patented waterproof gasket to protect the receiver from water. No matter what the weather, Rustler 4X4 is ready to go!

5-channel receiver with failsafe The TQi 2.4GHz receiver stores up to 30 Traxxas Link™ capable transmitters in memory. Integrated telemetry ports enable the transmission of real-time data from your Traxxas model to the TQi transmitter. In the event of signal loss, the receiver automatically switches the throttle to neutral and holds the last control position.

New Talon EXT 2.8" tires and black chrome wheels The Rustler's large 2.8-inch black chrome wheels provide ground clearance and an impressive presence. Talon EXT tires have a square, aggressive tread design to dig into gravel, dirt and grass for incredible 4X4 traction.

Ultra Shocks Oil-filled Ultra Shocks utilize dual X-ring technology for a perfect seal and silky smooth performance. The large oil capacity and robust design soaks up big jumps and off-road abuse for smooth driving performance. They are easy to tune with a wide range of available oils, springs and pistons.

Single auger motor access The Rustler 4X4's innovative engine mount holds the Velineon 3500 engine securely in place, yet allows it to be released instantly with just one bolt. Gear adjustments are quick and easy.

Digital High-Torque Waterproof Steering Servo The extreme speed and quick reflexes of the Rustler 4X4 require a steering servo that is both strong and fast. The included high-speed, high-torque digital servo features ball bearings for precise control and quick reflexes.

Revo-Spec oil-filled differentials Rustler 4X4 VXL's heavy-duty, oil-filled front and rear differentials use steel internal gears for maximum durability. Silicone seals and X-ring seals allow the locking effect to be adjusted by varying the viscosity of the fluid in the differentials.

New front and rear bumpers Robust, reinforced bumpers protect the chassis from impacts. The specially designed front bumper offers a high angle of attack, allowing the Rustler to overcome obstacles with ease. The rear bumper is equipped with a perfectly placed wheelie bar to prevent the Rustler 4X4 VXL from falling back from its explosive power.

Heavy-duty wishbones The new Heavy Duty control arms are stronger than ever. Made from a tough new composite material, the arms stand up to even the toughest riders and resist breakage for fun behind the wheel.

Extruded aluminum drive shaft A one-piece extruded aluminum driveshaft is strong and lightweight. Internal splines fit directly onto the input shafts of the front and rear drive assemblies. All in all, this shaft runs straight and true for a smooth drivetrain.

Extreme heavy-duty drive shafts The Rustler 4X4's extreme heavy-duty driveshafts are modeled after the legendary Slash 4X4, but are even stronger in critical areas for unheard-of power delivery. The larger diameter half shafts offer the same amount of articulation and suspension travel, but are designed for even greater tire shredding torque.

New Prographix bodywork The aggressive ProGraphix body of the Rustler is cut out and decals are already applied. Strong internal reinforcements keep the body stable, while roof skids provide rollover protection.

Functional rear wing The functional rear wing reduces drag while providing valuable downforce for high speed stability. The wing is attached directly to the inner reinforcements to ensure a long service life.

Wheelie bar On a vehicle with the power and speed potential of the Rustler 4X4 VXL, a wheelie bar is an absolute necessity. The reinforced wheelie bar provides additional impact resistance for the bumper and also protects the wing.
