Santa Maria
On 3.8.1492 the explorer fleet of Christopher Columbus, the SANTA MARIA, PINTA and NINA, set sail from the Spanish port of Palos to find the western sea route to India. On 12.10.1492 Columbus landed on the island of San Salvador.
The design presented here is based on the Spanish government design of 1892 and later research. This new version of the well-known model kit of the "Santa Maria" has been completely revised and now includes the battens for a double planking of the hull as well as a complete flag set.
All hardware parts are also included in the kit. The extensively illustrated 48-page building instructions with a total of 330 building stage illustrations with brief explanations in several languages provide a good basis for the successful construction of this model. Two large-format plan sheets with many detailed drawings supplement the building instructions and a detailed parts list round off this 1:50 scale kit.
