Kavan KAV56.9988 Pore filler standard, 100ml

Clear varnish for gluing stringing paper and silk and treating porous wood surfaces ("pore filler"). For brush or roller application.

Application: It is usually applied undiluted (if necessary, use KAVAN STANDARD thinner). Apply it to the structure with a soft flat brush or roller. Immediately press on the stringing paper or silk and smooth it / them. Remove any air bubbles with a brush or roller. Let the paint dry for at least 24 hours and sand it with a fine sandpaper 600-1000. For a model with a combustion engine, a fuel-resistant topcoat must be applied (e.g. KAV56.9990 KAVAN topcoat POLY, 5MA4401 RC Color clearcoat in spray).

Removal of excess undried paint: cloth or paper handkerchief moistened with KAVAN STANDARD thinner.

Paint thinner: the paint is supplied in concentrated form, depending on the need and type of application, it can be diluted with KAVAN STANDARD thinner in any ratio to achieve the optimum consistency for the application. Due to the different composition of the paint and solvent components, we do not recommend using thinner KAVAN CLASSIC series.

Suitable for: Covering paper and silk for model making, e.g. fleece paper, balsa and other wood.

Unsuitable for: Materials that are not resistant to organic solvents (foamed polystyrene, etc.).

Weight increase of the model: 10 ml of undiluted varnish increase the weight of the model by approx. 0.8 g.

Storage: In tightly closed packaging, cool, dry and dark (at temperatures between 15°C and 25°C). Do not expose the varnish to temperatures below 5°C and never to frost.

Shelf life: If the conditions for proper storage are observed, we guarantee the shelf life in the original unopened packaging for a period of 1 year, maintaining the above product characteristics.
