Gold contact XT30U sockets

The XT30U type connectors are made of gold-plated brass. The gold plating increases the conductivity as well as corrosion resistance, but also reduces the burn-off caused by frequent plugging and unplugging of plug and socket, which benefits the service life. At only 0.7 mOhm, the electrical resistance of the connector is very low and enables a current carrying capacity of up to 30 A for a short time. To achieve this performance potential, the use of high quality silicone cables with stranded copper wires of 18 AWG or 1 mm² wire diameter is recommended. The housing and sockets of the XT30U system are made of impact-resistant nylon, which remains temperature-resistant during soldering and does not deform immediately.
